  Then Gretchen Johnson of WordPlay Marketing Communications shared a wealth of guidance and direction for operating credibly as a small or microbusiness, or solo operator.

  Wrapping up the morning sessions, Sheri Welsh of Welsh & Associates explained to do the effective networking we all need to make our small businesses thrive.

  Our keynote speaker, John Schmitt, serial entrepreneur and now a business consultant for the Small Business & Technology Development Center, entertained and enlightened us with an account of his adventures in starting or partnering in seven small businesses in 40 years.
